Submit to Quarto Online
Please note that the form below is for Quarto Online only.
We accept creative and artistic submissions from current Columbia University and Barnard College undergraduates. We are especially excited by non-traditional or genre-defying forms, and encourage work that is purposeful and innovative. Quarto is committed to uplifting a variety of voices and experiences, as well as representing a diverse community of writers and artists within and beyond our staff. In particular, Quarto strives to center and magnify work from voices that are systemically silenced. We welcome creatives of color, queer and trans creatives, disabled creatives, immigrant creatives, low-income creatives, fat creatives, femme creatives, and multilingual creatives and promise to engage with your work thoughtfully, justly, and enthusiastically.
We accept all visual art, audio or video work, multimedia projects, and writing that is 1-15 pages in length per piece. Please submit no more than 3 pieces total to Quarto Online. Online submissions are rolling and reviewed as they are received, and there are no submission deadlines. We will do our best to review your work and get back to you within 1 month, but if you are concerned about the length of time it is taking for you to hear back from us, please feel free to send an email to columbiaquarto@gmail.com.
To submit to Quarto Online, please complete the submission form with no more than 3 pieces below and confirm the following:
Remove your name from the title of your documents and anywhere else on your submissions.
Make sure columbiaquarto@gmail.com has access/permission to view your work (i.e. the Google Drive link contains PDFs or documents that we are permitted to view)
Please include any relevant content warnings at the top of the submission and in the form message below.
Note: Please submit publication-ready images of art submissions, i.e. the photo is cropped to where you intend it to be, it’s high resolution, clear, etc. We evaluate art submissions based on the image sent in.
